The handset will need to be assessed by one of our Smart Technicians, who will need to deem the handset defective and not repairable. Also, the handset must still be under warranty. If the handset is deemed defective and not repairable and it’s still under warranty, the customer may receive the replacement for free.

For this reason, we recommend backing up all prior to receiving service. GTA is not responsible for loss, recovery, or compromise of data, software or programs, or loss of use of your product or other equipment arising out of the services provided by GTA. Your data is valuable to you. For this reason, we recommend backing up your phone prior to receiving service.

No, GTA does not require your SIM card.
The Limited Warranty starts on the original purchase date.
The Limited Warranty covers defective units, which are units that have an issue(s) that has been determined as a manufacturer defect under normal use and shows no sign of abuse, neglect, or liquid damage.
The types of devices that fall into that category include Android smartphones as well as MiFi devices, but are not limited to just those devices.
For iPhones: We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty coverage, whichever is longer. For non-iPhone devices: The warranty will not be extended and will still follow the original warranty period which started on the purchase date of your original phone
Yes, the phone will come with a 30-day limited warranty which starts after the original purchase. The customer MUST provide the receipt when bringing in the phone.

Yes, your phone does come with a warranty. Your warranty follows the Prepaid/Outright warranty for the type of device you won. If you won an iPhone, your warranty would be 1 Year and if you won a Non-iPhone device, your warranty would be 30 days.
Yes, the warranty will be based on the type of device that is purchased with the gift certificate and whether the device was purchased on the contract or prepaid price. Refer to the list of devices and warranties above.
If you have an outstanding HPO Payout Fee or BRC, you will not be able to get a replacement for your defective device until that balance is cleared.
