What devices does GTA Smart Center service?

GTA Purchased iPhones. iPhone 8 and later models.

What kinds of repair services does GTA offer?

GTA offers repairs for damaged screens, camera, speakers, taptic engines, etc.

I think my phone is still under warranty with GTA and is having issues. Will GTA provide me a replacement unit for free?

The handset will need to be assessed by one of our Smart Technicians, who will need to deem the handset defective and not repairable. Also, the handset must still be under warranty. If the handset is deemed defective and not repairable and it’s still under warranty, the customer may receive the replacement for free.

Will my data be lost?

GTA understands that your data may be valuable to you. Data loss during service is always a possibility, and in some cases, data may be unrecoverable, erased, or reformatted during service. For this reason, we recommend backing up all prior to receiving service. GTA is not responsible for loss, recovery, or compromise of data, software or programs, or loss of use of your product or other equipment arising out of the services provided by GTA. Your data is valuable to you. For this reason, we recommend backing up your phone prior to receiving service.

Can I get a loaner phone?

Subscribers to GTA’s service will have the option to receive a loaner.

Do you need my SIM card?

No, GTA does not require your SIM card.

When does the Limited Warranty start?

The Limited Warranty starts on the original purchase date.

What is covered under the Limited Warranty for devices?

The Limited Warranty covers defective units, which are units that have an issue(s) that has been determined as a manufacturer defect under normal use and shows no sign of abuse, neglect, or liquid damage.

What type of devices fall under a brand-new non-iPhone device?

The types of devices that fall into that category include Android smartphones as well as MiFi devices, but are not limited to just those devices.

If my unit was repaired at GTA, is my warranty extended?

For iPhones: We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty coverage, whichever is longer. For non-iPhone devices: The warranty will not be extended and will still follow the original warranty period which started on the purchase date of your original phone

Does a GTA device come with a warranty if it is purchased from an authorized reseller?

Yes, the phone will come with a 30-day limited warranty which starts after the original purchase. The customer MUST provide the receipt when bringing in the phone.

How do I know if I’m still covered under the warranty?

You may call our 24-hour Call Center at 671-644-4482 or visit any one of our GTA Experience Centers to find out if your phone is still under warranty.

I brought in my phone when I signed up for GTA wireless services. Am I offered a limited warranty?

Only handsets that are purchased from GTA retail stores or an authorized reseller are covered under a limited warranty.

If I receive a free replacement because my original phone was deemed defective, do I get to keep my original phone?

You would need to turn in your defective phone to redeem the free replacement.

I won a gift certificate for a free phone with three months of free service from GTA. Does it come with a warranty?

Yes, your phone does come with a warranty. Your warranty follows the Prepaid/Outright warranty for the type of device you won. If you won an iPhone, your warranty would be 1 Year and if you won a Non-iPhone device, your warranty would be 30 days.

Do devices that were purchased with a gift certificate come with a warranty?

Yes, the warranty will be based on the type of device that is purchased with the gift certificate and whether the device was purchased on the contract or prepaid price. Refer to the list of devices and warranties above.

My device was deemed defective, but I currently have an outstanding balance on my account. Will I still be able to get a replacement?

If you have an outstanding HPO Payout Fee or BRC, you will not be able to get a replacement for your defective device until that balance is cleared.
