On Friday, May 15, GTA teamed up to support families significantly impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We committed to support four local nonprofit organizations in dire need of assistance for two months to help over 2,000 families. These nonprofit organizations include Catholic Social Service, Salvation Army, Harvest House, and Victim Advocates Reaching Out (VARO).

The donation consisted of cases of non-perishable food items, necessities, and baby formula to help families that seek support from these nonprofit organizations. The total value of the donation to all nonprofit groups is approximately $30,500.

Catholic Social Service and Salvation Army are assisting hundreds of families going through difficult times due to unemployment or other unforeseen circumstances. Harvest House is seeking donations to care for foster children, and VARO continues to provide direct assistance to victims of sexual assault and family violence.

Through the Team Up for Guam philanthropic initiative, we are assisting our community by way of donating to help our first responders, healthcare workers, University of Guam students participating in distance learning, COVID-19 patients in isolation at both hospitals, USS Theodore Roosevelt Sailors, and nonprofit groups.

Catholic Social Service, one of our community partners, shared a message of gratitude and thanks. View that message HERE.
