Roaming FAQs
What is roaming?
Roaming allows you to use your mobile device on another network during travels, to stay connected. You may incur charges for any usage on the visited network.
How can I activate roaming?
Please contact our Customer Support Center at +1(671)644-4482 to enable roaming on your wireless phone.
Is there a fee to get the new roaming rates on my wireless calling plan?
There is no additional fee to avail of the new roaming rates, however, you must be subscribed to a qualified wireless postpaid plan.
Will I be charged long distance in addition to the per-minute roaming rate?
This depends on the type of call you make. For incoming calls, you are charged a flat rate plus a Wireless LD service charge. For calls within the country you're visiting, per-minute voice roaming rate applies. For calls outside of the country you’re visiting, per-minute voice roaming rate applies.
What number should callers dial in order to reach me while I’m roaming?
Callers should dial your local Guam number as it is.
Can I use my voicemail service while roaming abroad?
Yes. To check your voicemail, dial 1+ 671 + 4880000. Roaming rates do apply.
How do I get billed for making and receiving calls?
Roaming charges will appear on your bill and will be separated from your monthly charges. Any free minutes allocated to your current plan will not apply.
What steps should I take if my roaming service is not working?
*If you are having difficulty using voice or data services while roaming, try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Power cycle your phone by turning it off and then turning it back on.
2. Try manual scanning using the network settings on your phone. Select a network other than the one you are currently connected to.
3. If you are still encountering issues connecting, please contact our Customer Support Center at +1(671) 644-4482.
How do I minimize data charges when I use my smartphone while roaming?
1. Turn Data Roaming "OFF" by going into your phone settings.
2. Use Wi-Fi instead of 4G/3G/GPRS/EDGE.
3. Turn Fetch New Data "OFF".
4. Be conscious of the roaming rates in the country you are traveling.
What is Roam Like Home?
Roam Like Home offers affordable flat rates for all voice calls per minute, SMS per outgoing message and Data usage per MB when you travel to select Roam Like Home Destinations.
Do I have to pay extra for Roam Like Home to be added to my wireless plan?
No, as long as you are a GTA wireless postpaid subscriber, it is automatically part of your plan.
What destinations are included in Roam Like Home – Us/Canada?
All 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands & Canada.
If I’m roaming in Philippines, will I be able to roam with Smart?
You will not be able to roam with Smart in the Philippines however, you will be able to roam with Globe and enjoy our Roam Like Home rates.
I was previously able to roam with NTT Docomo in Japan but I’m not able to now. Did something change?
Yes, we no longer offer roaming on NTT Docomo in Japan however, you can roam with Softbank and enjoy our Roam Like Home rates.
I’m going to be traveling to Vietnam soon, what carrier can I use for roaming?
In Vietnam, you can roam using Viettel for data, voice, and SMS.

Terms and conditions
These rates are applicable only while roaming on participating roaming networks. You must manually change your roaming network on your mobile device to the roam like home carrier available in the country you're roaming in. Failure to do so will mean that you will not receive reduced roam like home rates. Standard rates apply on any other network.
